We have started our facilities of raising bicolor eels in General Santos located at Mindanao.

この度私たちはフィリピンのミンナダオのジェネラルサントスでビカーラ鰻の養殖を始めました。

Our company raises elvers captured in General Santos using Japanese technology into eels and export them to Japan and other Asian countries.

ジェネラルサントスで採れた稚魚を日本の技術を導入し黒子、成鰻まで養殖し日本及びアジア諸国へ輸出を行う会社です。

The reason why I have started this raising facility is that I could not forget the taste of delicious eels I tasted in Japan and when I went back to my own country, I searched for the same eels in the Philippines, but noticed that prices were far higher than those in Japan and could not be afforded by normal people.

私が鰻の養殖会社を設立した経緯は日本へ行ったときに鰻のかば焼きを初めて食べた時の美味しさが忘れられずフィリピンで鰻のかば焼きを探しました、そこでは日本よりも高額な値段で販売されておりとてもには買える値段ではありません。

So, I started researching the methods of raising eels in Japan and led me to start this company.

そこで日本鰻より安価なビカーラ鰻の養殖を考え勉強し今日に至りました。

I believe that now is the time for us to engage in the bicolor eels raising since there is a scarcity of resources of Japanese born elver.

日本鰻の資源が枯渇し価格も高騰している今こそビカーラ鰻の出番かと思います。

However, overfishing is not the way to raise this market so I would like to continue to raise elvers in captivity to steadily provide affordable eels.

しかしながら無駄に乱獲するのではなく安定供給を目指し安価にお客様に提供できればとの思いにて養殖業務を継続していきたい所存です。

Important Point

Gradually level the water in the cage when ponding, shorten the time to feeding, with no stress, adjust the hardness of the bait according to the situation and then shorten the cleaning time of the cage.

Eels are very delicate creatures, especially after ponding fry. Always keep track of the condition of the eel and pay attention to the food and water temperature to avoid stress. Eels are nocturnal, so they sleep during the day and are active at night. If there is not enough food, they will eat together, so give enough food to reach the eels that cannot be found in the food. If you raise your face near the surface of the water, you will be deficient in oxygen. Especially when the water temperature rises, the oxygen concentration in the water will decrease, so replace 50% of the water. When a disease occurs, salt is added to kill the bacteria, and the ratio of salt at that time is to 1000 L of water. Add 250g of salt.
